The last couple of years have seen high levels of mergers and acquisitions activity in the advertising sector (even taking into account the one which didn’t happen). For many agency owners, selling all or a substantial part of their business presents an opportunity to crystallize and capitalize many years of endeavour into cash but it can also be an opportunity to develop the agency into new geographic, service or product markets with the right investor or buyer.
Lewis Silkin corporate M&A experts, Jo Evans and Karish Andrews, together with Tristan Rice, shared some recent deal experience and views of trends in M&A in the UK advertising and marketing sector. They also gave expert insights into preparatory steps which agency owners looking to exit or to sell a stake in their business in the future should be taking now.
