SI Partners opens Asia HQ in HK and appoints Jimmy Lam as Chairman

SI Partners, the UK-based business advisor to the marketing services sector, is launching an office in Hong Kong with the aim of advising on the first acquisition of a European agency by a Chinese business.

The office, SI Partners' first offering outside of the UK, will be led by Jimmy Lam, the president of the Asia-Pacific advertising festival AdFest and former chief executive of Lintas Hong Kong.

Charles Fallon, a co-founder of SI Partners, said, "Our ambition is simple: we want to be behind the first acquisition of a European agency by a Chinese business. We originally went to Asia to help our UK and European clients understand the East but, in turn, this led to us winning local clients and, therefore, the need for a hub in Hong Kong."

Lam added, "I'm aware of the challenges that businesses face here, but also the opportunities for European organisations looking to get a foothold in the market. It's a perfect time for SI Partners to be setting up here."
